    1. I appreciate that, but the thing that bothers me, is, how can we agree as a society on what is good or bad, if we are only prepared to accept our own decisions?

      1. It is a little like the age old ‘bumper sticker’ on cars…. when in fog do not follow me…I am lost as well.

        We should each take time to ‘discuss’ and agree to at least try and idea to see whether or not it works. Trouble is these days ‘discussion’ does not enter the equation.

      2. It’s what we try and do in this group of blog friends, but I’m very aware that some people are keeping very quiet because they don’t want the hassle of argument, and other people just bang on about the same old thing and don’t want to listen 😉

    1. They do … but given that, I wonder how we can ever reach the point where as a society we find ourselves able to agree on an understanding of them that most people can subscribe to. What criteria are we to use?
