Government ministers, media moguls, take note and let’s hear more of this and less of the scapegoating.
It’s a general rule of thumb: we are at our most conventional when we think we are being most unique and different.
But what I think of as the ‘establishment’ side of the church, the unacceptable and unpleasant side, where people seem to be more anxious about keeping in with the rich and powerful than in standing up for what is right, is somehow emasculating us as a church.
