THE TROUBLE WITH BEING RETIRED …

is …

(scramble out of bed at great speed and knock shins on bed frame)

… that you forget …

(race into shower and have the shortest one ever, race back to bedroom)

… that this is the day …

(hurl clothes on at top speed, ram comb through hair)

… the guy comes to check the electrics …

  1. I used to get up early till I had pneumonia and had to lie in with a book…now I can’t get back to the early rising.I like to sit and gaze out of the window with a blank mind.
today a postman came at 8 am..I was awake but reading bed so shout through the window to see if he needs a signature!I never sleep late nowadays unlike in my youth..Saturday mornings.. bliss.Glad you enjoy that relaxation..

    1. It is extraordinary for me to sleep this well. I can’t remember a time when I did. So yes, I am enjoying it with all the pleasure of somebody who has not experienced it before!

  2. I’m sorry about the shins on the bed-frame……that sounds really painful and most annoying if you do it regularly…..:)

How nice to be able to lie in bed of a morning after all those years of not being able to πŸ™‚

  3. Know the feeling. I find that the window cleaner usually arrives just as I’m getting up and running around between the bedroom and the shower (having to hurriedly pull down the blinds to avoid embarrassment). 😳
