TEWKESBURY ABBEY, GRANDSON AND SOME BAD NEWS

We decided to drive to Tewkesbury today to meet Youngest Daughter, her hub and Gorgeous Grandson who is now 2, which I find hard to believe. We had various things to give her from her sisters as well as a birthday present for GG.

It was such a lovely day. We walked along the bank of the Avon for a while, then ended up sitting outside a pub for some lunch. On our way back through the town, Son in Law got a phone call – his Dad is really ill and getting chemotherapy, and had just been hospitalised with septicaemia.

SIL phoned Daughter Nr 2 to ask whether he should go immediately to see his father. She counselled waiting until the results of the tests are in, to see how bad it is. So we wait and pray.

Life is such a mixture of highs and lows.

  1. Highs and lows. that is certain about life. When I was young, I used to see the lows as a disturbance of normal life, and put myself on ‘hold’. But since then, I’ve learned that the lows too, must be accepted and lived completely; that they too, are a very important part of normal life. Wishing you better news in the near future.
