ROW YOUR BOAT, VENETIANS

The Vogalonga or ‘long row’ takes place each year on the canals of Venice. It started in 1975 as a protest against motor boats which spoil the tranquillity of the canals. Every kind of boat takes part and the course is 30 kilometres long, starting in the Canal Cannaregio and finishing in the Grand Canal.

What an excellent way to make a protest. Go for quiet, Venetians!
